Well it was a day everyone was talking about weather wise! On the 4th February I had the pleasure of photographing Gemma & Steve’s wedding at the Merchant Taylors Hall in York. The day started at Gemma’s mums house just over the road from the hall and boy was it cold outside!!! The forecast said snow by 3:00pm and it was looking likely. After spending some time with Gemma I went to meet Steve and the boys at the Vahe Bar on Goodramgate. From there we headed for a few casual shots on the way back to the hall. It was then a brisk walk across the road again to meet Gemma leaving the house. All the time getting colder! The day went well and the snow did arrive at about 2:30pm and came down thick and fast!. Gemma & Steve were great sports and we ventured out for a walk to Grey’s Court just up the road getting some very wintery looking shots along the way. Heidi & Dean | Wedding Photography | Swinton Park | Masham | North Yorkshire

Finally up to date with my blogs! On January 21st I had my first wedding of the year at the awesome Swinton Park at Masham, North Yorkshire. It was a cold but bright day meaning we could all get outside for a play! Heidi & Dean were both getting ready at the hotel with both the ceremony and reception taking place there as well. This is always nice as it helps make things more relaxed without the need to travel from venue to venue. Everyone had a great time and some fantastic shots were captured. Vicky & Clive | Wedding Photography | The Royal York Hotel | Yorkshire

The wedding of Vicky & Clive was my final wedding of 2011. The whole day took place at the Royal York Hotel in the heart of city. Since my last wedding at the hotel the York wheel was now situated in the grounds! It’s a beast standing at nearly 53 meteres high. I had to make use of it so shots with the boys was first on the cards and then later on it was a trip with Vicky & Clive in the VIP pod! Vicky & Clive had also arranged it so all the guests had a go on the wheel, which helped when I wanted to get them all outside for the group shots! A fun Christmas wedding was had by all. Wedding Photography | York Minster & The Merchant Taylors Hall | Yorkshire

Christmas wedding number 3! The wedding of Laetitia and Simon took place at the stunning York Minster. The bridal preparations took place at Laetitia’s mums house before heading to meet Simon and the boys at the Minster. Safe to say the wedding was pulling a crowd. Even with how cold it was a couple of hundred people were stood waiting to see the bride arrive! Following the service it was time for the guard of honour to do there bit. When we exited the Minster it was a biting wind but everybody carried on and some great memories were captured. Below is a small selection of shots from the day.

Natalie & Matthew | Wedding Photography | Aldwark Manor Hotel | Yorkshire

Christmas wedding number 2! When Natalie and Matthew booked in December 2010 it was thick with snow. Thankfully for the wedding the weather was a little more kind! The wedding took place at Our Lady’s Catholic Church on Gale Lane in York. It was then over to Aldwark Manor Hotel for the celebrations. Everyone was in high spirits and braved the cold for some great photographs. Below is a slideshow of images from the day.
